What is Ledger® Live Wallet?
Ledger® Live is the official companion application for Ledger® hardware wallets. It provides a local interface to view balances, send and receive crypto, install blockchain apps on your device, and perform firmware updates — all while keeping private keys confined to the hardware device.
Download & install
Get Ledger Live only from the official source. Choose between:
- Ledger Live Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) — full feature set including firmware updates and app management.
- Ledger Live App (iOS/Android) — mobile management and Bluetooth support for compatible devices.
After downloading, follow on-screen instructions: connect your Ledger® device, set a PIN, and save your 24-word recovery phrase offline.
Ledger Live login & common connectivity problems
To log in, connect and unlock your hardware wallet and open Ledger® Live. Common problems include “Ledger Login not working” or “Unable to login Ledger”. Try these remedies:
- Switch USB cable/port or toggle Bluetooth on mobile.
- Restart Ledger® Live and the device; reinstall if necessary.
- Update Ledger® Live and your device firmware before attempting login.
- Temporarily disable VPNs, firewall rules, or browser extensions that may block USB/BLE communications.
Troubleshooting deeper errors
If you see Error Connecting Ledger Account or Can’t verify Ledger Wallet, check for firmware/app mismatches and accept device prompts carefully. For persistent app instability — “Ledger Live App not Working” — clear app cache, test on another phone/computer, or reinstall from the official store.
Account recovery & 2FA guidance
Your only recovery method is the 24-word recovery phrase created at setup. Ledger® does not store or back up your phrase. If you lose the phrase, your funds cannot be recovered. Ledger® does not manage your 2FA tokens — if you need a Ledger 2fa reset for a third-party service, use that service’s recovery process.
When to contact support
If standard troubleshooting fails — especially after a firmware update or if you suspect a phishing attempt — consult the official Ledger® Help Center. Never share your recovery phrase or type it into a website or chat.
FAQs — what users search most
Always use the official Ledger® domain to download — avoid search results that look suspicious and verify the HTTPS lock.
